Excellent , another 4wd forum that supports Daihatsu's , It's interesting to read and see other pic's of other purpose built 4wd's , I could count on one hand the 4wd accessories shops over here in Perth ........... :( :( :(

G'Day Andy!!
Glad to see ya made it to the forum Hows the truck going? I dunno about your mods mate, you've done a few more than most people.
Almost ready to do my body lift now, should be ordering the blocks n bolts tomorrow, then I just have to work out how to raise the bumpers front n rear, drop the radiator, and she's sweet I know most of it, really just have to find the metal to do it hehe.

Yep, lots of *bling bling* being spent round here But then again, lots of guys with excellent fabbing skills etc too...save yourself some $$ doing it that way...
Once the body lift is done, will be working on the unthinkable...lower transfer case gears! Been speaking with MRT and they will be happy to cut some 4.5:1 low range gears (hi range unchanged, less to modify) for me, just have to get them a donor transfercase box...slated to be all done by march/april next year...if the cost works out okay. If it all works, they'll most likely offer it available to anyone who wants it.
With that lowrange, the Feroza crawl ratio will be around 90:1 in 1st low...better than quite a few zooks I can think of!!
Then I'll start scratching my chin and thinking about solid front Axle..so many different ways I could go..just depends on budget..
But..2" bodylift, 31s, and 4.5:1 lowrange reduction will see me go some places!

Hehe shut up cam
Seriously tho...from memory a 1Ltr zook with rockhoppers only has a crawl ratio of about 80-85:1....what a lot of people forget about the Feroza is that it has a 1.6L engine stock...that's some pretty nice go go juice, couple that with a 90:1 crawl ratio, front locker, 31s and some rear suspension tweaks...it's a pretty damm capable truck So what if one front wheel is in the air all the time heheheheheh

ABSOLUTELY
Handles really well. I was expecting it to feel 'top heavy' but it doesn't. Minimal body roll on cornering....unreal off-road, especially with the 35" Centipedes (which still require balancing).
I highly recommend the conversion....definitely the V6 part of the conversion with hilux tranny.
