new turbo issues...

Post by MissMU »

hey guys

ive just fitted a brand spankin new turbo to my 2.8 Mu. When we first fitted it and took it for a test drive it was running 8/9 psi.. we then noticed a hell of alot of oil coming out of the return pipe (forgot the gasket  ) ... we put on the gasket, took it for another test drive, and it just blew so much white smoke its not funny!! and its now only running on about 3psi. we did an oil change and cleaned some of the leaking oil off and now its not smoking at all - phew!

ive wound up the boost controller, but its not making any difference... im not getting any more power... or much power at all...

anyone explain?

it had more power before with the old f*cked turbo!!!

you have to adjust the fuel as well to get power from it

diesels will burn as much fuel as there is air, the turbo adds the air....

if you put more air in, but no more fuel it won't go up in power.
