Power Consumption

Post by gu4800 »

May seem like a silly question, but there is method in my madness:

How much power does an interior car light burn?

The reason for the question, my camper has a little interior light that holds your typical 5w globe. Just want to know how much it would consumer if I left it on overnight.

Thanks.

12watts = 1 amp so 5 watts = 416.66Milliamps so in an hour it would consume 416.66Mah or over 12 hours it would consume 4999.2Mah (5 amp hours)

Cheers
Simon.
Hookers are like bowling balls, You pick them up, put your fingers in them, then throw them in the gutter and they come back for more.

Jaycar in Sth Aust (So someone your way or they do mail order) sell LED globe sets that replace the bulb in your light. Consume even less power if it is a concern.
