Just got the beadlocks and SIMEX 35X10.5X16 fitted. WaaahhhooooOO
The wankers at the tyre place have put 14 psi in the tyre and 36 psi in the bead...
From what I understand you are meant to have 2psi more in the bead then in the tyre(and the instuctions say that too....
he begged to differ but hey he has been fitting tyres for 12 years.... and can't f#cking count or read for that matter!!!
I going leave the beads at around 35psi and not sure what to run the peds on the road... i figure about 35 to 40 psi?!?!
Anybody else got any ideas??
Mick

Tyre Pressures with 2nd air beadlocks....

Mick,
From what i've read, I think that the Tirelocs have a max inflation amount of something around the 40 - 45psi range.
I think what you were talking about with the 2psi is that you should always keep the Tireloc tube pressure at least 2psi greater than the pressure of the tyre - but i'm not 100% sure... But in reality - i expect that you would set the pressure of the Tirelocs at 40 (for example) and never change them again - this would keep the beads mounted properly when your tyres are at 5psi - it just wouldn't make sense to think that you have to reduce the Tireloc pressure to be within 2psi of the tyres - that would destroy the whole point of having them right?
I would suggest that your tyre pressure at 14psi is going to be too low as your car would be fairly heavy.
Actually - check out this thread... If i get an answer there - then you'll be able to work out what pressure you should have your 'Pedes at.
