swapping to 35's?

Post by --sinner-- »

right now im running 33's on my 2.4 diesel 84 4runner, thinking of fitting 35's... can get a set fairly cheap. soooo the question is, will it reduce my takeoff speed much? or my highway cruising speed? fuel consumption?

curious as to how much of a change it will make overall

thanks :)

You will definatly feel a bit more drag from them and your clutch will feel it when taking off but it is not a huge drama.
4.88 ratios in the diffs will help (found in petrol luxs).
I have 35s on my Lux with a 2.8 with turbo with 4.56 diffs and it drives fine, its no sports car but sits on a decent highway speed.
