200tdi to lt95
whats involved in bolting a tdi to lt95 box what clutch to use ect is it a easy swap or pain in the arse the boss is saying i cant get the defender i want unless i get rid of my my rangie but i just cant do it seing its not realy worth anything i would hate to see it just get scraped
range rover & series one landy!
The LT95 would be less than ideal behind a 200Tdi as it is a wide ratio box. But it may work.
It would probably be easier/better to fit a 4BD1 instead. The adaptor plates are available (but getting a bit hard to find).

This mob used to do it. I went down this path of trying to find a LT85 or LT95 plate three years ago. Contacted Dave at Ashcroft in the UK --- gonna cost a motza to do, so I didn't

exact same reasion i have changed my mind. can buy alot of petrol and wd40 for water crosings for the price of the engine and conversion plate and just as i typed this i got an email from zeus and thay do them for about $1000 au but the transport is a real killer i would imagine plus around 3k for a tdi theres a tdi disco in a yard doin the road for $7800 if the prices are going to get that low im better off waiting a bit and buy somthing like that

Good adsvice, after looking around to repalce the 3.5 petrol motor in the old Disco - cause it's gonna need works soon I'm sure, the best option is to wait for the second-hand Tdi prices to fall further and buy the whole car that way if you keep the old one, you get some spares as well!
Nice gq swb ute chop with a huffer for the good times
