longfield, cv unlimited and ashcroft all get there cv's made by the same manufacture.
from what i have been told, the new cv's from rovertracks/longfield are the same as cv unlimited
bill from great basin rovers tried for YEARS to get an stubless cv like r60665 with 23 spline made then an aeu2522 by this company. he had nothing but trouble with them and it never happened.
i tried myself to get a r60665 with 23 spline both sides made from 300m through cv unlimited, contracting the same company. 1 year later, no cv's and george from cv unlimited has offered a refund cause he cant get anywhere, they are always 2 weeks away....
thats not to say keith from rovertracks can't supply these new cvs as longfield, ashcroft and cv unlimited all have stock.

Serg - I don"t think this is a stubless CV (which would be great), vbut rather a longfield version of the AEU2522 (110 county CV). Basically what Ashcroft make now but hopefully for less money.
Your/our 30 spline longs should be stronger though - but both will be stronger than the inner axles/diff.
Hopefully someone like Bobby has the clout with the manufacturer to get this done.
They are a version to be a direct fit into the later style axles. They will use Toyota 27 spline inner at the CV and 24 spline at the diff. They will only be sold as sets with inner halfshafts.
As I understand it they use the same manufacturer. That does not mean they are the same though. Longfield seems to have a lot of input into the design.
I also suspect that they are using the same inners as the 27 spline Toyota Longfield CVs to save cost and just producing a different run of the outers to fit the Rover hub.
Halfshafts may come from somewhere else.
Regardless it is a great price, nearly half of the competition.
CV Unlimitted is $1350 (I think)
Ashcroft is ~$1230 USD
I also suspect that the reason they can not get an AEU2522 version is that Ashcroft has made up some sort of exclusive production agreement.....but I am just speculating.
These CV's take all the details of the Longfield 27 Spline CV and put it in a Rover package. It is superior to any other CV made to fit this direct application or even a 2522 application. It is not a copy of the CV Unlimited or Ashcroft CV.
It is designed around the later ABS style CV simply because.... I won't go into complete detail but one reason was marketability here in the States.
The Halfshafts are 4340 and built by the same outfit as the CV's
Both the CV's and halfshafts are warrantied forever against breakage.
I will have a distributor in Australia by January. We're not sure what the prices are going to be but we will work to keep them low but shipping is a killer on cost..
I reckon there would be a large market for Patrol CV's. Always here about Nissan guys breaking CV's and complaining that there are no cost effective upgrades.
Seeming as the CV's and axles are significantly stronger, and Rover diffs are... well, Rover diffs. Are there plans also to do 30 spline axles to suit Toyota centres in Rover axles?

I already do a complete conversion kit for the Toyota FJ80 third into a Rover housing, we use the Longfield 30 Spline CV.. It becomes a very balanced system at that point.. A bit expensive but it comes with a ton of components including Panhard rod and other bits to do the conversion. The coversion has been writen up in LRM and we used the setup in the OBC, while our performance was lees than stellar the front end held up nicely to what abuse we could give it... i run it in my car and do a lot of silly things with it, in fact most of my customers that buy this conversion are more extreme drivers and do silly things with their cars..
As for putting 30 spline Toyota splines on the new kit, the manufacturer of these components had reservations about connecting the toy diff to the 24 spline halfshafts and (not as much) the new Rover CV.. Since he warrants the product he has a large say in what is made in this respect. Add to that that it is a mass produced product so even a subtle change to create another variation can drive costs up... That said I would need to push for a full 30 spline inner shaft on this CV and I would need to sell a lot of them to make the price good.. Trust me I've thought about it..

Just Curious why do you need a different Panhard Rod to do this Conversion?

What happens when we do the Toy Diff conversion is the diff cover gets cut off to do all the backside work in the banjo.. I send a "sewer cap" diff cover along with the Kit to replace the cut off cover... It's hell for strong and a popular seller by itself but to clear it we need to add a high clearance adjustable panhard rod... Guys that have other ideas can opt out of these items if they like..

You can get them through Wayne Smith @ Smithi Engineering. I have one set in stock at the moment, we have been running them in Mike Smith Blue Rangie since the Ateco this year and are very impressed with there strength, normally we would have broken 2-3 stubs and possibly a CV in an event, but since fitting these CV's & axles we haven't looked back.
