 It's pretty close to the XI. It took me 3 months to fix the Rover after the last XI. I might have to get a panal shop as a sponsor!!

The question is can the Hilux hold itself together for the final blast to make it 2 years in a row. I am betting that it wont. :bad-words: I hope. :D

Why don't you get a driver/navigator & a nissan that can beat the hilux fair & square, instead of hoping it will break because it wont. Look at the results rnd 2 Qld winch challenge

Just because you are leading when you break dose not mean you win the race. And we all know that breakages are part of the game. And it does seem that the only way to beat Laurie will be if he breaks. :bad-words: HILUX :bad-words:

I heard that their will be no where to buy food at the event ! I'm going down to watch. With being busy at work I havn't found the time to get the Rangie up to scratch to take to Tamworth. But I'll be their for moral support and to give everyone heap's of drunken advice as they compete.

Round 3 "The Decider"

Post by XTREME MMM »

Well it is nearly time for the "Big Play Off".

Just a few things that will make the weekend a lot eaiser for everyone:-

Please drive very slowly past all houses and yards on the way to the event base.

THERE IS FOOD ON SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not know where some people get their information from!

NO FIRES !!!!!!!!!!!!!! due to the high fire risk in the area.

Toilets but no showers.

Advisable to bring own water.

Weekend passes are only $30 per adult plus $10 camp fee per vehicle, or day passes are $15 per adult.

Competitors partners are admitted free, all other support crew pay normal admission fees.

It has been fine, but and a little bit cool over the past 2 days.

Competitors please note make sure your comp vehicle is water proof.

See you all on Friday.

Cheers

It's true more information on the website about the event would help. Perhaps something to consider next time it comes around?

Yet again another great event from MMM. Stages 1,2 & 3 Fri night were hills with loose shail & big rocks, Stages 4,5,6,7,8,9,& 10 were all in the same winding creek & had every thing from loose top soil hills big granit rocks ,deep water & high speed creek runs ,What a Blast
We had a pretty good run only putting a slight bend in the rear trailing arm
, no panell damage & winding up in 4th for the round & 4th in the series.

There were 2 bad rolls for the w/end Arb Tamworth Phill rolled backwards
after snapping a cable on a steep knarly hill climb on stage 4, car was bad enough not to run again & a new competetors form nsw in a shorty 40 rolled on a jump up out of the creek on stage 10 were every one else drove it, just one of those things. Both teams were shakin bit not hurt

Stand out for me was FESTER & Shane Sheridan WHAT a Team They ended up 6th for the round, every stage i sore them run looked like they were having a ball & just cruising through What would they be like if they were going for it ???

Congrats to Kym & Rob, Lawrie & Peter & Mani & Kev Who drove Hard & Well all w/end & Deserved to be in the top 3

A Big thanks to MMM all the officials, caterers & land owners

Modified toy & I own the shorty forty that rolled on stage ten,Even though i rolled our forty it was a good week end for us and a huge learning curve,We had alot of trouble driving steep inclines which was due to being too short and having to soft and to much travel in the rear suspension,It was standing up on every steep incline at first it was scaring the crap out of me but as the weeked continued i got use to it and then i payed the price on stage ten.But we will be back next year with the same vehicle but it will be a bit longer and a bit stiffer in the suspension.
I would like to thank the competitors & officials for all there advice and help and MMM for not being too mean to the 2 rookies.
(ps, I have been known to be a little throttle happy)
