Hi All, I'm wanting to replace the fuel pump on my 1985 FJ62...spotted one on ebay but it says it's for 1987 on. It looks the same ! Any 3F gurus here that would know if there is a difference ?

FJ62 was from 10/85 to 01/90.
up to 04/87 pump has large diameter body.
From 04/87 on pump has a small diameter body.
Might be a good idea to ge the bloke to measure the body diameter for you to check against yours..........or ask him what month 87 his FJ62 is. Body diameter will be a more realiable way to go about it though.

As far as I know the 2F pumps are not interchangeable with the 3F. They may look similar but they list completely different part numbers according to my book.Sam Walker wrote:There's also a 2F fuel pump suits up to 11/84 that also looks the same !
the 3F is $55, the 2F $84...
2F - FPM-024
3F - from 01/85 to 04/87 - FPM-121 Large diameter body
3F - from 04/87 to 01/90 - FPM-122 Small diameter body
Those are fuel miser part numbers. Oh and those prices are very good. All of those pumps retail from $160 to $215.
