As above, I saw this product being promoted at recent Vic Winch. It sounds like a good concept, has anyone tried it or know were its available? Any info or feedback on the product would be great. Cheers

I have a friend who runs them in his 315/75x16's on his f250, says they are great at speed and saves having large amounts of weights on the outside of the rim. BUT, he says that if driving slowly, say around 45km/h he has a vibration as it does not appear they spin into place at the lower speeds.

I've got 35x10.5x16 pedes on mechanical beadlocks which have never been well balanced. Found it hard to find somewhere to get them balanced due to their size. When I did find somewhere they struggled to balance them properly due to the beadlocks on outside and bugger all room between the brake caliper and the inside of the rim.
While they were balanced with lead they still wobbled from approx. 50-70km quite dangerously. The lead weights lasted 2 trips before they were knocked off and I was back where I started.
At first I was a little scepticle of this AutoBalance and thought it was another gimmick but decided to give the stuff a try and found it to be an improvement straight away. When the tyres are cold and have been sitting with the weight of the vehicle overnight they still start with a flat spot wobble but 5-10 mins and the wobbles are gone.
I reckon what's good with this stuff is once you've got it you don't lose it like lead weights and when you update your tyres you just scoop it out and put it in the next set. Also as it is always balancing it will reduce the effect of mud build on your rims without you even knowing!!
Anyway I reckon it has a lot going for it over lead weight balancing and the comparison between the 2 continues..........

I had it installed on my new MTR's and new steel rims from new. It didn't work to well at all. It seems to have its place on trucks where they travel at constant speed. I found that as I drove around town at different speeds the wheels tended to go out of balance. It was annoying. I had the stuff removed and went back to normal wheel weights. I now am happy and have no further dramas.

It is used in the trucking industry and we have successfully tested MAGNUM in many Simex & Swamper tyres with both mechanical and Second Air beadlock with great results. We also have seen that other compunds (sand, water, ball bearing) have been used to get similar results, but unlike MAGNUM are not specifically designed to not damage the inside of the tyre.
The free flowing characteristics of the microbeads allow MAGNUM to easily move around the tyre allowing it to quickly adjust and re-balance the tyre after slowing down, speeding up or even change in road surface. It will take longer to adjust when travelling slower due to less centrifugal force, but in time will make the tyres smoother.

I don't need the product but am thinking when a tyre gets staked or comes off the bead were going to have sh1te loads of beads all over the place.

MAGNUM is a compound made up of lots of microbeads & not balls, that, in the event of a tyre issue, will mostly stay in the tyre. A dust cloud may exit from the wound and if more was to exit, it is so small it wouldn't be noticed on the ground. As for the environment, MAGNUM is far less likely to exit a tyre than lead weights falling off the rim and left in the bush, therefore making it more environmentally friendly.

I've just got some of this magnum compound from Autobalance and unlike most males followed the instructions supplied and put it into some 35" Marshalls Mud Tyres that just would balance up.
I've removed all the external lead weights from the last balance, placed the compound into the tyres and the old GQ runs like a dream.
There is still a slight vibration at 70k's but nothing like the death wobbles I use to get.
This stuff mighten be for everyone but it has certainly made a difference to my old bus.
Next challenge is to see how it goes on my beadlocked simexs

I got some to test about 4 weeks ago.
I am running 35x12.5x15 simex on external beadlocked rims.
The balancer was added to the 2 front tires as I could not get one of them to balance using a static balencer with lead weights.
At first we added one bag to each tire, but the vibration remained. After swapping the tyres front to back to prove that it was the tire at fault, not the vehicle, a second bag was added to the suspect tire. This had the desired effect - vibration gone.
So I am happy with the results so far. I will add some Autobalance to the remaining 2 tires when I get 2 mins to spare.

We test balanced numerous Swampers & Simexs, both beadlocked and non-beadlocked, using a basic bubble balancer and found that the amount of weight each tyre/wheel required varied greatly, with that one you mentioned needing over 660 grams. Most however needed around 300grams. It was a good test case that was rectified by using MAGNUM and we are glad you are happy.

Yes the silicone coating makes the beads both soft, smooth and durable. The other materials used enhance the flowability, and prevent any build-up of static electricity in the tyre, by creating a very thin barrier between the beads and the surface of the inner liner. If static electricity develops, then the beads would flow less easily, since they would be sticking to the inside of the tyre.
Just a question what is involved in getting the beads inside the tyre? I have 35 inch pedes on a 15 inch rims and inner airs. I have conisistant probelms in balancing on these tyres.
I also have 35 inch MTRs on 15s as well but no bead locks. Have now replaced tie rods ends, RTC steering damper, radius arm bushes and rebuilt king pins. After all this I got a balance and alignment yet I am still getting death wobbles. Arrrrhhhh

To add MAGNUM to a rim with a Second Air, you simply deflate both air systems, break a bead and pour MAGNUM in using the provided spout, being careful to make sure it doesn't go on the tube side of the Second Air casing. Then reinflate Second Air to make bead & tyre to road pressure and you're done. I run Q78s with Second Airs on my 80 Series and have no problems with wobbles.
We have found Toyota's to be less prone to death wobbles than the Nissans, but as you have done all that and are still having issues, may I suggest looking at the panhard rod bushes and isf they are OK, check the chassis around where it attaches for cracks.

I'm hoping to have it back on the road about feburary but I may get it finished earlier depending on $$$.
I have to go back and get 2 other tyres fitted with the product so i'll ask them what it is when I see them. I don't think I mentioned it in this thread but I had a product (not sure if it's the same) similar to this fitted to my cooper STs a couple of years ago by O'neils tyres and they where without adout the best balanced tyres I had ever had on a 4wd. The only fault I had was they didn't put the correct valves in and the product cloged up my valves when I tried to air down. Once the correct valves where fitted I had no more problems.
Autobalanceman I still have another 5 possably 10 tyres that i'll need bags for so you will be hearing from me soon.

Each bag of MAGNUM comes complete with a filtered valve core so the compound is unable to enter the valve and clog it. If you were/are unable to use a filtered valve core I suggest shooting some air into the valve to disloge any MAGNUM before checking pressure or airing down.

Im running it in my 36 pedes with external beadlocks and Im very happy with the results . My car handles much better on the road and has stopped most of the dreaded patrol wobbles.
