I can never get the URL right for thIs site so I have it saved in my favourites. You can get to it if you search on Google like this
LAND CRUISER FAQ Its Rob Mullins site and gives all the specs for every LC. When you find it look under diesel motors and dont forget to save it as is VERY useful especially when people start talking bullshit.
Personally I reckon a 1HZ conversion would be better as you would have something a bit more streetable for on the way to the mudpits. Those truck motors would be a PITA on the freeway, flat out at 100 klm and roaring like a Jumbo on takeoff. The price of a 1HZ is dropping a bit and the likelyhood of finding a good 2nd hand 15B out of a truck after its been lumping carcases of beef or doing the rubbish pickup for years is pretty assy.Still they would be great for climbing ,just turn the idle up a bit and watch it climb up the side of a dam face.
