Front recovery points.
Front recovery points.
Hey all,
I am so bored at work, I have doubled my post number in three days! I just need some help with the above question. I have a bullbar which now covers the chassis. Where are people putting recovery points? The bar is alloy, so not super strong. at the back, at least you have the holes pre drilled in the chassis for it, but I am stumped with the front options. or do I just go of the diff.

Ok, so after a look I can see an area under the chassis, but can you drill into a chassis to affix it. Or is there somewhere on the car I can just put the strap onto. I thought maybe cutting a hole in the bullbar behind the number plate so I can put a strap on the bar between the chassis rails. As for the rear Vicelore, I believe you can take of the tie down point at the rear on the chassis and put a rated hook on instead.
This may be easier, but where are others putting their recovery points. I stuck my head under the car again, and i just can't put it anywhere unless I a) drill throug the chassis and b) run two hooks, so I can put a strap between the two and then bring it out the front. Would this work, and can you drill trough the chassis legally.

You guys must have rusty front tubes , I have pulled out cruisers and pootrools with that single loop on the front , normally run a bridal off 2 loops on the back , but that front loop has been used many times ....
Re: recovery
You will find most peoples opinion is that the rear or two of them are quite strong and the front is strong as a straw.noelb1 wrote:You guys must have rusty front tubes , I have pulled out cruisers and pootrools with that single loop on the front , normally run a bridal off 2 loops on the back , but that front loop has been used many times ....
Although neither will beat a real hook.
