ok so i got the socket but are the drain and filler plugs usually that dam tight u cant budge them ?
have tried with a bar and both directions (are they left hand thread?)

24 mm or 15/16 imperial
try to use a single hex socket as a double hex can bur the edges of a tight nut , especially when it slips off the nut or does not have a proper hold on the nut

if the plug is tight you can give it a good smack/ hit with a hammer and jar the tension the plug has

yeh they are a bitch to remove generally.

remember to use impact force, dont just swing off a bar.

If you can get a good bar on it and then hit the bar with a big hammer youl apply a crap load more force than if you are swinging off it.

Make sure your socket is a tight fit and give it a hit with the rattle gun.

Thanks for the help guys ended up taking it out to the in-laws and using there ramp.. amazing how much easier things are when u have standing room under there :armsup:

What also is a bugger when removing diff drain plugs is when the protector ring ( if you have one as I do) around the bung has been damaged.Can`t get a socket on,have to first reshape the ring.That earned a few well chosen words.

with the stuffed protector rings, i've found it easier to pullt the bottom most stud and drain it through there
