For all you diesel guru's

Post by lethal weapon »

I've just fitted a Pyro to my GQ turbo'ed 4.2 diesel, in the exhaust manifold, before the turbo, NOT in the dump pipe like many others. Took it for a spin and 3500rpm in 4th gear (120+kmh) it reads around the 600c mark... is this ok? I understand everyone says not to go over the 550c mark but (from what i understand) thats if its fitted in the dump pipe. I assume that you would loose a bit of temp through the outlet of the exhaust side of the turbo???

From what I've read on this forum the "average variance" is 100 degrees higher reading pre turbo than post turbo :!:
So with your setup 600 is fine
