As it says, i do this a bit caause 4thin my opinion just isnt enough to cruise in without revvin real loud. Is it alright to cruise in 5th? like it wont, i dunno wear the cog out or something? like a smimilar thing to towing in 5th?

never had issues with mine.. ive driven at 30 kph on flat roads in 5th.

the td42 has enough torque to push her along nicely... and thats cruising along nicely...

obviously dont lag the engine by floorin it when u need the punch... let it build up slowly and you'll be right.

if you need the punch.. go down the gears.

sweet, yeah i dot flood the thing. I slowly ease the pedal on and let it build up

I think the issue of not doing low speeds in 5th gear is dependent on the how 5th gear is setup in your box :?:
Some manufacturers/ model have weaker setups than others :x
Not that I'm have much experience in this issue :oops:

I cruise around in mine at 60km/h in 5th quite happily. Just dont floor it to speed up, change gears instead

From what I understand there are considerations when towing in 5th gear with some boxes...someone more expertise may be able to elaborate further than this.
