91 Hilux Suspension Lift

Post by Zam »

Hi Guys,

OK, I have my lux for about a year now and the front springs have started to sag, so time for a suspension upgrade.

I am looking at getting a 2" lift all round so obviously with 91 lux it is leaf sprung front end.

So i have the following questions for you guys

1. What brand would you recommend and why.
2. What price would I be looking at?
3. Where would you recommend me looking at getting it done (I live in south eastern suburbs Melbrourne)?

Cheers

Hi mate
i just got sum 2inch springs for 92mdl lux. some things i found out.
I advise NOT to BUY ARB OLD MAN EMU's as they sit flat, and don't provide any lift at all.
i say this because i bought some fitted them then was disapointed because my old sagged springs had more height. So i returned them.
Instead---
I got some from Browns Springworks in Thomastown, they gave me a 65ml lift which is just over 2inch, with plenty of curve in them, not like conventional HiLux spring that every one tells me should be flat.( Not true mine sit like normall springs now)
I've had the springs on the car now for at least six months they flex excellent and still have at least 60ml of lift and have not sagged,
Big thanks to Northern Suburbs Radiators and Melbourne Drive Shafts and Balancing for all your help and support.
