Just finishing of the last few loose ends on my V8 Chevy conversion and I noticed that the oil Light on the dash Is constantly glowing when the car is turned off and the keys are out of the ignition, just wondering if anyone know what may be doing this? I know the the sender for the oil light is the negitive side of the circuit, i just can not seem to be able to figure how the positive side of the oil light circuit is getting power if the ignition is turned off.
Any help would be great

GQ Oil Light Constantly Glows
I had similar problem with my car re the oil light
had an idiot light on the dash for the oil pressure warning, but a proper oil pressure gauge sender on the motor.. so when I connected them up the light would permanently glow
i changed the fitting on the motor to suit the warning light on the dash, and it went away!
with the handbrake light, sounds like there's a short somewhere causing it to stay on..

Are you using the Nissan sender on the Chevy engine? Would be worth checking that the IGN Relay isnt sticking on. The IGN Relay switches 3 fuses in the block--these feed your guages and warning lamps. Would be worth pulling thse 3 fuses individualy and see if the lamp goes off. Try removing the relay as well and see what changes..
