I know guya that run them in comp trucks with 37's and no issues.
Just ensure you don't engage at speed, or when spinning the wheels.

Yeah the owners manual says keep the speed below 7 kmh when engaging the locker.

They are reportedly slow to engage and disengage but I've heard that aftermarket solenoids help speed it up.

Sensor prevents fact diif lock engaging above 7km/h. Factory solenoids can burn-out-other than that, they are strong and work well..

Also that sped sensor limits when they can be engaged. But once there in there in till you turn them off.

You can take a screw out of the instrument cluster to allow the diff to be locked at any speed, not recommended though.....

i can almost guarantee you that the patrol diff would be fine :)
i have not seem many/any buggered ones
when you get the 4.6 gearset fitted though, its good practice to install new bearings and seal.

Mine was 4.11 but that doesnt mean different R&P's exist nor that you cant swap them. If you have a factory locker and want to run 4.3's go right ahead.

I ran one with 36 pedes without any dramas except ripping an actuator out of the rear of the diff coz I was to lazy to make the much needed gaurd for it.

I ran a mag dual solanoid with an always on realy though a standard ARB locker switcht to keep everything uniform and it worked well and always engaged very quickly, it will be reused provided I sort out the actuator when I build the sierra.

if you want info on the solanoid set ups and PNs check the GQ bible
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!

I cant get the links to work Tiny.
Mine has the usual problem of the factory solenoids sticking.
The one that unlocks doesn't work at all so I have to pull the top hose off and put the bottom hose on the top solenoid that works then switch off the locker.
