turbo intake snorkel

Post by Josh n Kat »

i'm looking at using a diesel gq precleaner or 2.8 diesel air filter housing down to my turbo. what i need is a flexi pipe or something that can go from the filter box down to the turbo inlet size. the turbo is a shwitzer turbo from a turbo dynamics kit i think.

any suggestions?

What sizes are we talking about?
Do you want only the reducer from larger pipe to a smaller one yeah??
Or do you need the flexi pipe in general?

like this???

If so, you can buy them from eBay or car performance places.

yeah was looking more at a factory style setup with just a flexi pipe.

or if i've got no other choice then i'll get a bit of pipe and put silicone hose like the picture you put up either end.

but anyone else got better options? what have other people done?

something that can go from the filter box down to the turbo inlet size
So, do you want a something to only reduce the size of the pipe?

Or, do you want the piping redone completely?

Your first post is quite ambiguous.

If redoing the whole pipe system, why not bend some steel/aluminium pipe up to fit it? Better than a plastic flexi pipe.

Truck spares also have lots of flexi pipe if you go down that route.
Donalson dealers should stock this.

Well there isn't any piping at the moment.... I just wanted something basic and easy that I could order from someone and fit straight up or wanted to know what other people had done....

I do need it to be wider at one end than what it is at the other...

Do you think getting some pipe bent up would be the best option with silicion hose fittings each end?
