The zook is a bit on the narrow side for my particular testicular endowment,j-top paj wrote:i gotta ask, WHY would u wana drive around with your doors off?

and I find the extra width that door removal gives me is much more accomodating in the downstairs department (if you know what I mean )

lol yeah cos that windscreen frame would be very protective in a rollover!markil wrote:yeah, it basically just feels and it's easier to get in and out. Better for visibility while 4bing too. Also cool with the windscreen off, although i only do that when out wheeling not on the road. But I wouldn't do it without a rollcage

i'm a regular doorless fella i love it. i have been pulled up over it, asked if i was drunk then told i would die if i got hit by another car (like i wouldnt in a zook with doors anywayz) from there i asked him, a senior sargent, if it was a bookable affence.... i didnt get a ticket or a warning, but i also didnt get an answer either.... so as far as i can gauge from the conversation its not something that there is a writen law against, but a cop having a bad day can defect you. just like you dont have to have reverse lights to pass rego, but a copper can defect you for it- go figger. my advise is to be polite and respectable to the copper and you should come out ok. note i havent been hasled about it since.
p.s make sure you have side mirrors on it somewhere/somehow to remain LEGAL, whatever that is.

munch, munch, jeep for lunch.
You would be surprised, I had a couple serious rollovers before getting a cage and the original targa bar, and windscreen frame saved me and my passengers from any injury or death.OldGold wrote:lol yeah cos that windscreen frame would be very protective in a rollover!markil wrote:yeah, it basically just feels and it's easier to get in and out. TimmayFj40 wrote:so out of that whole tread i got this much, it is legal to have no doors as long as u hav mirrors, in a fj40 in vic? and i also got that yes, it looks very cool?
is that correct??
If by fj40 you mean Sierra then yes
Seriously though, you'd have to check with the other 40 owners on the forum. Don't think you can drive a 40 round with no doors but you never know.
