i just got asked if my alt has vaccum on the back of it? wtf is with that? why is there vaccum there? could a line be off causing it not to work? anyone got a alt i can lend ? lol

the back of your alternator may have a vac pump on the rear. if you look at the back you will see clearly a small pump with a couple of hoses off it.

This will not cause the alternator to stop working unless it has seized.

If the alternator or pump has sieved your clutch will be very heavy and your brakes will not work very well

my clutch is fine, but my brakes are very spongey, takes 1-2 pumps to pump them up :D
