Diff carby for GQ

Post by HellfisH »

I've got a 1990 GQ shorty 4.2 straight petrol, and ever since I've had it I've had nothing but trouble with the carby and the auto chock, so I was thinking of changing it for a different one, is this possible? and if it is, does anyone have any ideas on what type I should put on. Any help would be great.

you can get the electronics of a tb42e or you can adapt an ea or similar throttle body onto yours, as far as different carby's, it is not something I would bother with personally, but I am sure someone can help
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!

put a kit though it,
if you cant get it right, take it to a carby specialist

they are a great carby, autochoke and all!

i would not put anything else on it.

a 350 or 400 holley 2 barrel will ahve issues on slopes/inclines.
