LS1s, Range rovers, Marks 4wd Adaptors

Post by pugwash »

Need some help and feedback from some of you ozzies please.

Want to fit an LS1 with a 4L80e and an LT230 to a range rover.

Has ANYONE here done it? if so have you used the Marks adaptor kit? Does anyone have any feedback with regards to Marks4wd?

Did you have any clearance troubles with the 4L80e and transmission tunnel? did you get away with using standard headers or did you have to go with custom headers?

what haev you done with engine mounts for the LS1. is it possible to adapt the rangie mounts, or is it a case of griniding off the old ones and welding new ones on?

any advice and guidance that anyone can give will be much appreciated.

I think a T700R4 would be easier than a 4L80e

I,m sure marks have or did have a lt230 to th7oo auto adapter, in the kit there are engine mounts that bolt to the chev block and use the rangie chassis mounts and rubbers.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
