retiming a toyota hilux diesel engine

i just did this again on the weekend, 3rd time i have done it, get a copy of a manual which shows the timing marks on the crank, cam and injector pump - as i believe dumbdance has probably sent
follow all this down to a tee, and it will fire first go
ps - anyone - the crank timing mark can be hard to find if you dont know what you are looking for - you can use the crank pulley and line it up off that or, on the belt sprocket you will find a small relief on the outer circumfrence at the rear lip on the sprocket - this can be hard to find at times
i recommend from experience, replace both rollers which the belt runs along, i had $1000 worth of damage caused due to not replacing approx $40 worth of parts

hey bubs I have seen a 1HZ with severe top end damage from belt tensioner failure. at high revs, timing belt jumped a few teeth, slammed ALL the inlet valves into the piston crowns - bent all valves, broke all valve guides. all fixed up on the top end and back three months later with all the timing gears savaged - shock of valve/piston impact had fractured the timing idler gear shaft locating dowel, and over the next few thousand km the ilder gear shaft bolts had worked their way out, and the gears had chewed each other up. not nice. all new gears from toyota ($$$) and the motor lives again.
i had the spring loaded idler roller bearing seize up, burnt through the belt only about 5,000km after replacing belt - bent some valves, bent cam shaft, bent rocker shaft, 2 of the cam shaft/rocker shaft bridges? on the top of the motor
