Driveline noise problem

Post by bugden23 »

G'day,

i'm still hearing noises from the driveline of my raised vitara. Its only been raised about 2" so its not like i'm stressing the joints too much. I had all the oils changed out, and all the uni's checked and regreased.

The noise is like a vibrating noise taht appears about 80 - 90k's an hour and its a pulsating noise, pulsing around every 2 seconds......any suggestions ??

I have the noise in my Vitara on back off of the throttle at the same speeds with road tyres, but with extra weight it goes away and when I have my MTR on there is no noise.
Just the tail shaft angle and rolling resistance.

lol,

i know the noise ur speaking of, which is more like a whine. but the noise i'm talking about is more of a pulse when u have it under full throtle, and u can feel the vibration through the car. Could possibly be linked to what u said though

cheers

OK

If you are getting it under full throttle universal joint or bent tail shaft or maybe a rubber mount broken somewhere.
