Yes i have, i made a whole run of mounting brackets for them.
I've since parted out my hilux and still have all the disc brake gear left ove if your interested. $350 for axles, rotors, calipers, brake lines and mounting brackets.

Call me stupid - why do you need axles? DO the std ones not work with disk rear?STUMPY wrote:Yes i have, i made a whole run of mounting brackets for them.

i think stumpy would just prefer to sell the diffs complete rather than having to strip them and try to sell a diff with no brakes.Roctoy Designfab wrote:yeah but it'd save you having to separate the other drums etc i guessbenhl wrote:Call me stupid - why do you need axles? It's just a pain stripping down the drum brakes off the axles. I did it and repaced the bearings at the same time. The diffs isn't complete, ie. no housing but everything you need to do the conversion.Shadow wrote:i think stumpy would just prefer to sell the diffs complete rather than having to strip them and try to sell a diff with no brakes.Roctoy Designfab wrote:yeah but it'd save you having to separate the other drums etc i guessbenhl wrote:Call me stupid - why do you need axles? As to the ones who want to argue about searching, i really don't care, but don't cry if someone has a go at you. Just remember, we're all big men when we're on the internet.
The links that people have posted above give details as to what is required.jessie928 wrote:
so are you going to pass on the knowledge? or do we need to pay 350$ for it?
Jes
As for the $350, it cost me alot more to do the conversion and chase down the parts and time and effort designing it then what its worth to do it yourself. I in no way saying don't do it yourself, its just that 350 bucks is cheap for a hassle free, bolt on conversion.
