Pro Comp Muddys

Post by 4runner2.8 »

Hi this may have been covered before but im after some fresh info on how they perform as in how many KM they will last. Seen as they are going cheap atm.

I Did a quick search and found storys of them lasting well over 50 000km and lasting as little as 15 000km.

Any info would be good guys

Cheers

Around 100,000k's out of 35" muddies. Brought em second hand after 80,000k's cos I was broke  they were always awesome even when they got down to near nothing they still gripped real good.

Im thinking of getting a set with the buy 3 get one free deal. very attractive at the moment, but not much feed back on them offroad or how they compare to say copper stt, mickey tompson mtz, bfg muddies and wrangler mtr's.

Cheers

i have had them on my 80 for the last 60k.
never had a problem with them and will be getting another set.

like that they have a low road noise as to other muds(had coopers befor pro comps, coopers were bad for road noise)

would say they are as good as bfg muds if not better (due to road noise)
off road i run them at about 20 psi and they bag well, grip well and wear well.

for the price of 3 how can you go wrong?
hope this helps,
cheers ;)

I got my 35's about 8 months ago...
they wear pretty good, have the usual chips and nicks from 4wd'ing but I reckon my mates Wranglers have more chips/nicks and they are only 1 month old.

I usually run 20 psi when offroad..
only prob i've had is a sidewall puncture..got bounced of a rock sidewards into a small stump..not really the tyres fault.
looking at the sidewall cross section on the damaged tyre you can see how well built they are.
would recommend them, especially with the buy 3 get one free deal.

cheers.

there is All terains, mud terrains, X terrains and extream AT's

You would want muddys or x terrains, but from what iv seen the muddys work better and are cheaper

Don't think they ever warrented the MTs, but the ATs were good for 80K+. I ran the MTs for a while (only traded to get bigger), and loved them. Wore really well for the time I had them, great in the wet, shat all over the BFGs I ran later (bigger size).

If I was every going to run standard MTs again it'd the the ProComps.
Apparently people think I'm too patronising (that means I treat them like they’re stupid).
