The last time Lance & I competed was at the RFC in '99. Hope we have still got what it takes.

Really looking forward to it.

Glen & Anita will really add icing to "Team Queensland" with true sportmanship and team work.

Getting ready for the XI, it is looking real good.

Back to the GPS run. This format will suit both comp teams and the average family vehicle. Yes you will all have to find the same points but the family entrant will have his punch card free (will be able to walk to punch/GPS point if you want) and the comp vehicle's will have their punch card sealed in the vehicle (must get vehicle to punch/GPS point). This will make it fair on the newcomer who wants to go and have a bit of fun.

There will also be lucky draw prizes.

All for now see you at the XI

Cheers

Just to add a bit more, must check in at office first . Note if you are already checked in and payed your park fee's, entry will be $50 per vehicle. We will assemble at the office car park. GPS will start at 1930hrs.

Note that this is a "family friendly" event and will not be won by "He who is the fastest or thinks he is".

The night is to test your GPS skills and have fun.

Make sure that you bring pen/pencil and a clip board will be good as well.

Cheers

Only 2 days & 1 sleep to go before we have a bit of fun at LMP.

This is a non comp event but it will still be great practice for the comp boys & girls, as well as heaps of fun for the families.

Glen has got the bbq ready and the drinks are ice cold.

The start will be at the office 1930 hrs or 730pm which ever is the sooner.

See you there.

Cheers

Great night had by all. Thanks to the 13 starters that made the night fun. Presentation started at midnight. (Anita will put up all the scores when see arrives home). The entrants were a mixed of experienced competitors and new comers who after they sorted out and worked out how to load the currect Datum into their GPS unit went out and had some fun.

First was Peter & Jane assisted by their childern who managed to find all the points but got a couple of questions wrong. And did you know that Fester who came 6th or 7th in this years XI, managed to come last, (he is blaming Jen, his new codriver) with a total score of ZERO points found out of 30 points, Good effort Fester and thanks for you support.

Would like to thank sponsors, All 4X4 Parts, Ian Lister and Brett Long for doing the great comp decals. Also a big thanks to Alben & Helen at Landcruiser Mountain Park for the use of their property.

Again, Thanks.

great event - when is the next one?

we drove off in the wrong direction and lost 20mins, then had the tool box burst and spread tools over a fair distance which we went back to pick up!
Good times!

Might have to have a few kids to get the points up - wish i knew the wiggles etc!

Thanks to all for being so welcoming, sure to see you all at an event soon

cheers justin
