do the 3.0 td, the 4.2 td and the 4.8p have the very same transferbox? thnaks
I wasn't aware of that. I thought the auto's in the 3.0td and TB45 were the same except for the difference's in the bellhousings. Hence the output flange bolt pattern would be the same for TB45 auto and 3.0td to bolt the same transfercase up.
Can anyone else confirm this for sure. Are you sure you are not confusing the 2.8td Mickyd555. Actually ask ergjan19, as he will know for sure. He changed over from a GU TB45 auto that he fitted rockhoppers in transfercase to, to a 3.0td GU.He is familiar with the transfercases, and should know if any differences exist.
I actually think Mickyd555 is incorrect but will stop short of swearing by it until i know for sure.
Here's the link on transfercase with photo's.
