Bring this up in the night crew thread and keep reminding me so I remember to look at some specs and mods, etc. when I get a bit of time.

Edit: I've found a bit of info on 'em already, but too tired to read it just now. Remind me in night crew thread and I'll have a proper look tomorrow night.

Talk about it when I see you.

One feather in my cap is also being an electronics tradesman, with a experience in Radio transmitters (worked on 100 mW - 5 kW transmitters anywhere from HF - Microwave). Should be able to help you out on the techie stuff once you get the bits together.

The big bit to buy is the autotune antenna that sits on the bullbar ($>1000? IIRC)

Also got to get your radio ops certificate.

Gary, would a multi-tap be worth considering as a short term solution, or are they more hassle than they're worth?

What frequencies does it have in it Barnsey?

If you can bring it to Hellbourne when you come down, I can prolly help out with a few things.
