Lokka or Lockrite?????????????

Post by mattsluxtruck »

Im looking at getting either a lokka or a lockrite. I was leaning towards the lokka from 4wd sysytems as there warranty seemed to be ok. I went into a TJM store this arvo to see about some other stuff and got talking lockers. His reply was the "ones out of adelaide are shit and dont waste your money. They are a cheap and nasty copy of ours"
Now im somewhat stuffed what to do................Has anyone had any experiences with either one of these products good or bad? The vehicle is a 85 4 runner on 33" muds with a pretty healthy 253.
Any input is appreciated. It is a chrissy present off my other half and i dont really want her spending $1200 on an air locker for me. If anyone has any other suggestions on a locker for me or is selling one also let me know too please!
thanx Matt

I have a 4wd systems lokka in my 89 lux and i've killed it twice. as soon as i blow a CV the lokka goes aswell. 4wd systems has replaced it under warranty but it's not worth going through the effort to put it back in just to pull it out again when it dies. Probably not the best investment to buy
