Noisy Ford Courier

Post by Bumpy45 »

A mate of mine has got a 95 Courier with a 2' lift and has a problem. When in 4WD and taking off in very soft sand or trying to tow tree stumps etc. there is a loud knocking coming from underneath. Forward or reverse = same noise. It has been to a few 4WD specialy shops and they cannot find the problem. To date the transfer case chain, clutch, pressure plate, shockies and free wheeling hubs have been replaced. Driveshaft carrier bearing and the front torsion bars inspected. 2WD is quiet.
