80 series with chrome wheelnuts !!
Sorry for the shit stir. I just wouldn't have posted photos with the organisers in them.LOCKEE wrote:Ban Hotty from competing if he has been setting up tracks
Oh well couldn't drive a thumb up his arse so let him compete.
Smithy is happy for competitors to wallk the bunted stages on youngs from 3pm if you are concerned.
Geez Smithy is a good bloke, lucky he finished my front diff.
Umm... does that mean you know who i am and will be having some influence on event organisation somewhere????????The pig67 wrote:Ruffy just remember what goes around come around

If so i'm open to negotiation on track difficulty.

Damage Reports so far busted tail shaft , various busted CV's, 2 Roll overs, various busted winches, heaps of minor panel damage and apart from that it was an awsome night .
Hobbsy and Rudi did a great job and from what I could tell most people there had a ball

Watch out for the Bushpig we maybe out your way soon
phewww. Big night. My self, Tuffmav, GQ Bear and some friends ran SS1. It was a short technical stage that was easily conquered using common sense. Unfortunately not everyone found that the case.
We managed to kill all three range rovers that showed there faces at our stage and one GQ.
We had a busted winch on a rangie.
A busted axle on a rangie.
A rangie that layed down for ni ni's
And a busted CV on a GQ.
Drive of the night goes to the guys in the dual cab hilux. 2.8 diesel. Twin locked and 36" simex's Who were the ONLY car to drive our stage up the course without hitting a cone or bunting. Every other car either winched (90%), or drove it but knocked over cones doing so....
4.00 am seen the last car leave our stage, We promptly finished off our delectable spit roast we had sizzling over our fire on the AUSPIT and crawled into our swags.
Not sure who it was but there was a competitor transported to hospital i believe with a broken wrist.. Hope all is well there.
I hope everyone enjoyed our SS1 and i hope the navnites continue next year.

Was a great night for us guys running SS2. All compeditors were thru by about 2.30. 15 out of 20 teams made it to our stage. Only three out of the teams drove our whole stage with out winching. Plenty of tree rubbing all the way up our stage wich made it really interesting just to sit back and listen! Hope all the compeditors enjoyed our stage!
Damage report from our stage that i know of would be one busted hub on KURMIT and bit of panel damage here and there!
cheers
steve

We didnt even get to drive... After a solenoid shat itself when we were running out some cable for our 1st stage.
Sucks to cuase this is the 2nd time we have not done a navnite, oh wells.
An excellant event, thankyou everyone.
A very special thanks to all the marshals, a sterling job, too many names to mention, you all did well.
Thanks for the many competitors who entered. Hobzee and I will discuss running another Navnite for next year due to the overwhelming support from you.
Scores will be up next week after the presentation dinner.
Cheers, Rudi

Rudi and Hobzee, another fantastic event.
I marshalled at the start gate of SS5, but could also see the guys go up SS4 next to me.
Awesome display of talent and driving by the competitors.
And Yes Ruffy, that little dualcab 2.8ltr hilux, crawled up SS4, you could hardly hear the sound of the engine as it went up, then on our stage, SS5, it just slowly crawled up the hill and then over the rockledge without a worry in the world whereas other much tougher trucks tried to hit it with speed and ended up winching.
Although Pete & Shiloh made short work of the ledge and great driving to get up without any problems at all. Well done guys!!
Kermit... that was a bit of blur going up the hill, he blastered up it in no time!!
Biders was also fun to watch attack the ledge, event with a corkscrewed tailshaft, busted cv, and then a snapped plasma rope! Couldnt see a real lot from down the button, but there was plent of dust and v8 grunt waking everything around it!
Nice drive up by Hottie as well, had the boot into the firewall, but it did get you up!
Well done to Leeham in the surf as well for his first event, drove SS4 well, and cautously winched the rock ledge on SS5. His co driver and himself were as happy as a pig in shit when he got down the bottom again!
Pity about the layover on SS6 though, hopefully not to much damage there man
Had the stage finished up a bit after 2am, and we all had a ball!
Awesome work to everyone invovled in the event! Special thanks to Smithie as well, had a ball working with you at this area of stages setting them up and being there invovled marshalling to watch the guys compete!
Now... do I buy my new 80 and use the rest of the refinance money on the house..... or blow it all on a 80, chop it, add all the fun bits and enter next year

Well what a weekend!!!
Not enough sleep!
I started at ss1 and up we went with a double line pull to get myself up out of the ruts, i drove straight down & did i think a 5 point turnb at the bottom so that was good but then we got DNF'd because the we had knocked over 2 cones?? is that right? anyway, apart from the double line pull's & the winch struggling i thought that was a good stage.
SS 2: with the compulsory stop on it, well drove easily up to the gate with ben jumping out but the winch just wouldn't pull!!! So we ended up dnf on time so that sucked!
NEED LOCKERS!!!
then we headed to ss3 but kinda went the wrong way & ended up over at ss4, i had to winch through a bog hole which kinda filled my radiator so that caused it to get warm
SS 4
Great stage, enjoyed that one, Was a compulsory winch at the start of a car length, then straight up through some cones over some ruts, i think i hit one cone, but was easy enough
then to ss3
Got there & this is the creek stage, where we right hand turn into the creek & then let up the hill between the tree & read the sticker up the top on the tree, back down we came and drove back along the creek, then hard left up a steep climb, but with no lockers struggled so winch yet again! Double line pull but car was getting really hot from the boghole so had to give it a rest, then with the winch struggling & the overheating ended up over time
Then called it a night as we had both had very little sleep the night before
Thanks again ben for the barwork & the great effort you did getting the car ready & winching
Now the carnage report....
The work started on my car at about 4pm friday arvo, with rollbar, winch horns, tyres , alternator, batteries the list goes on...
Left gemmy about 1:30am & had a wheel come off near emerald so racv it back to the shed & swapped rotor over.. thanks james
The steering stabilizer mount had been torn off when this happened so that was fixed up before the event too.
Got there about 8pm & then it was all on!
Torn drop box!!! not a bad thing as they needed to come off anyway
Next is my nice fibreglass guards
Bent eye bolt from double line pull, i know see why these aren't allowed in ccda events!!! They are dangerous, both of mine are now oval!
