Post by roscoFJ73 »

Someone asked on another forum about the possibility of a rollcage for a Bundera.I thought they were fitted to them when new similar to a FJ73/BJ74.Can anyone confirm that

I beleive Bond Rollcages make a bolt in kit for these. Ryan from Snake Racing had one fitted to his Shorty. You could give him a call on- (02) 9570 1588 he should be able to tell you were he got it.

the soft top/FRP top bundys have a single hoop roll bar but the hard tops do not. I have rolled 2 hard tops, they are pretty tough with massive B pillars and good bracing, even the one that went full 360 on rocks into deep water didn't break any windows.

but a roll bar is a good idea.

Aussie middies come standard with them Jake thank god because that plastic roof would collapse no worries. The Jap imports dont have them. The reason I asked the original question was someone needed a roll cage for their Bundeera and I thought the best way would be to put the original back on if they do indeed exist rather than the cost of having one custom made.Dumbdunce give me the answer I needed but thanks to everyone for their input

do you think one out of the FRP SWB/MWB models would fit in a bundera?

Would it be a little too long?

Just a thought...

yeah you can get a FRP/soft top bundy, but I don't think you can get a FRP/soft top BJ/FJ70 shorty, only the middy BJ/FJ73 came with the FRP top in the 'heavy duty' cruiser spec.
