Every jap import place i call say they can get the motor but no loom or computer. I plan on putting this motor into my hilux so i need the whole running engine and probibly the Efi pump ect.
So if anyone knows of anyone around brisbane who can help me please drop me a reply.

The 7M-GE is rare in a supra, most were 7M-GTE ( turbo ), and then alot were auto as well.

The best way to go is chase down a Supra 5M-GE so can steal the clutch, flywheel, bellhousing, pumps etc... Then get a 7M-GE from a crown or cressida. All the sedans were auto.

The loom is usually cut when the motor is pulled in Japan so to get a complete one is unlikely. I might be able to get you a computer from a wreck here and I have all the cressida 7M-GE wiring drawings. Rebuilding a loom isn't too scary ;)

I actually have a 7M-GE in the middle of the garage floor complete with loom computer etc.. but expensive to send to Oz from here

good luck getting youre motor, drop me a line if you need help :)

wirth teh lexus cut deal - what's tee engine capacity and how hard is it to fit up to standard 80 box? Is it like the VH45 where tha manual mates to GQ box?

Much difference in teh lexus motor to a GXV L'cruiser issue donk?

Just adding to the thread and being a PITA.... :finger:

Gday
The Lexus v8 is a 4 litre 32 valve motor called the 1uzfe. The landcruiser 1fzfe is in the same family of motors meaning the bellhousings should be thesame bolt pattern. One difference i know of is that the v8 has the starter in the valley vs 1fzfe on the passenger side.
The 2uzfe is a larger displacement 1uzfe being 4.7 and the std landcruiser motor now, used to be mated to the A442 auto when the GXV first came out.
So, at worst, i could buy a std bellhousing ($750) from a 1998 gxv and put it on a A442 auto to put in either a 1uzfe or 2uzfe. What i want to find out next is whether the 1gzfe is thesame bolt pattern, being a v12 5 litre vvti motor, and 280 hp would make for a different transplant in a cruiser.

Sorry for my late reply fellas but been busy.
Tanks for all your imput but have decide against the swap,
instead looking to by an 80 series dual cab landcruiser,
need a heavier car with better brakes for towing.
thanks anyway
