What is the biggest tyre others have run with little or NO lift
I have just got some 38.5x15x15 boggers on some 11x15 beadlocks
and i am running 2' mount lift.
Went for a wheel last weekend and low is good
I use to run the 37 with the same lift but have had to do some pretty major cutting to fit these bad boys under there.

HOOLAY Wish i could buy boggers for my DH bike
Where are the closeups .. How far forward have you moved your front diff ??

" If governments are involved in the covering up the knowledge of aliens, Then they are doing a much better job of it than they do of everything else "
he is running rears up front with is 3" forward straight up, but i believe he has also redrilled the perches to gain and extra 1" on top of that.
so his diff is 4" forward
he is running ifs rears int he back as well, which moves the diff back 1"
this gives the MIGHTY 83 a wheel base of 117"
(stock hilux wheel base = 112")
the 2" lift comes from the 2" dropped hangers and the extended shackles in the front (the rears up front have been flattened in order to keep it low but still give it decent flex)
the back gets its 2" lift from the lift blocks he has put in.
correct me if im wrong scotty....

As you know Scotty im running a 39.5 with a 2" cab lift and a gap of 200mm between the chassis and the diff on the front.
the chassis clearance is 550mm from the ground to the chassis.
I think i will be able to run a 42" tyre with some mods to the inner guard where the battery and the filter box are. Remember my diff is around 150mm foward from standard.oh and my wheel base is 112"(2845mm)when lowered.
on the subject of low cog
What height is every ones rig from the ground to the chassis under the drivers door????
and clearance between diff and chassis on the front.??

You must have zero or very little up travel running this low with 39.5's. At full compression my 33's (really measure 31's) are about 15mm from the engine bay sheet metal, a 35 would scrub for sure without limiting the up travel or raising the springs.professor wrote:the chassis clearance is 550mm from the ground to the chassis.

I have 150mm(6") of up travel in the front coil overs and 100mm(4") of up travel in the rear. the rears need to be readjusted! best around 150mm.
as for the engine bay it rubs the battery box hump and air box hump on full up travel.
The width on my rig is 2140mm(7') this helps to clear the inner guards.
common people get measuring fill us in on your rigs specs.
Interesting, i considered going 39.5's but figured i would have to limit up travel far to much. How bad does it rub? is it going to tear a new hole in the sheet metal?professor wrote:Drop Bear wrote:You must have zero or very little up travel running this low with 39.5's. Are you running spacers on the front? flipped rims? youve got 100mm extra width on mine sidewall to sidewall. Chassis height is the same.

There is no wheel spacers just the irocs on 10" rims widest i could buy with beadlock.
the rub is not bad yet no hole to speak of but i will need to do somthing soon.
post your specs up here too

mines set up for negitave 1" lift and 2" body lift so 1" over stock with the 38.5`s,5" forward and 5" up travel in the front and 7" in the rear and running high steer to

I have RUF also, and im pretty sure my diff only moved forwards 2" max, not 3"Aza wrote:he is running rears up front with is 3" forward straight up, but i believe he has also redrilled the perches to gain and extra 1" on top of that.

Evan.
I just went out and measured mine.
It is sitting on the grass so not 100% accurate (but close) but I couldnt be bothered shifting it.
Mine is 470mm on 35s What do I win?
*Edit* on hard ground it measures 510mm
But Im still winning the lowrider comp

Tyre pressure
Hydraulics (for one of us anyway)
actual tyre diametre measurement rather than whats stamped on it.
Mines actually 530 at road pressure and the tyres measure just on 32".
Im still trying to add yours up Chad, if i put 39's on mine now in theory the chassis would be at about 600, but the front would scrub to the shithouse (almost touches the inner guard now with 33's on full stuff), if i lowered it another 2" it would tear the guard out Surely you must run with the hydraulics up a little when actually driving, although i think the 3 link flexes a bit better than the x link
