its the same as '05 IFS rear but not the older IFS models. About 5" wider than the older models.

Your better off getting the whole assembly, by the time you get the steering in you will need the bundy diff centre because of the steering shaft.

Dont wast your time swapping everything around.

Your engineer was OK with the heating and bending of a cast radius arm?

I done one on a 2000 extra cab and used a cruiser 78 series front end fitted with 80 hubs brakes etc. Same track as IFS big 80 C/V's i also used a 78 front chassis cut for all the brackets and i looked factory when finished. I have a front bundera chassis cut if interested.

The arms had to be tested once finished.
Get them x-rayed etc and have no problem.
The material that Toyota use in the Bundy arms is very good.
No doubt you could even weld to them. If done properly you would not have a problem.

I saw the Lux Wally put the 78 series front in and all I can say is I wish I could have found a 78 series front end at the time.
Pisses over the Bundera setup.
It really is a piece of work!

The radius arm is not being used for what it was designed for. The reason i set it up like this is because i did a 3 link on the front, with the 80s steering the tie rod runs across the back of the diff along the centre line and therefore lower links would have to be mounted high on the diff (or low rock anchors), with the contsrained space in the front there (especially if you want to keep it low) this was the cheap, quick and easy solution to the problem, being able to mount the lowers on the centreline of the diff while having clearance for the tie rod.

I have already drawn up a new set of lowers for the front in solidworks, just need to get it cut out, but it will basically be the same shape just stronger (and no extra bush). The shape of the radius arm upside down is almost perfect for this application.

If this is still confusing keep doing your homework and research :)

Yes it's the same as solid axle Hilux rear.Or so close you would not pick it.
