what is the exact diametre on the bolt that goes through the control arms
on a 100s cruiser and is it the same as the 80s

are you talking about the rear control arms? or the radius arms in the front?

Radius arms are 16mm at the diff mount and 18mm at the chassis mount.

they actual measure 18 and a bit mm i thought they might be imperial
cause an 18mm drill bit is a bit sloppy through the bush

Its japanese, it would be metric, its supposed to have a bit of clearance.
