B&M launch control solinoid
has anyone had experience with the solinoid before?
I want to use it to stop the brake from working not to lock and hold as it was inteneded. Do I have to change the in and out lines over so it will work? I ask this as im not sure that the solinoid works in both directions.(does it bypass to the brake when it is activated.)

The solinoid is as it says on the packaging "Launch control"
it is designed to operate the brakes and engage the solinoid so you dont have to man the break for take off. I want to put it in line to stop the front brakes working for front dig.(i dont want pressure going to the front brakes) if i set it up the same as intended im thinking that it will not stop fluid going to the brakes as it has an in and an out labled on the unit.

In our drag cars, we use a hydraulic tap in the line to the rear brakes, that way we if we close the tap (1/4 turn) without the brakes applied, and braking force we use is only directed to the front tyres, good for car control during the burnout. once the burnout is done, we open the tap, and 4 wheel brakes are restored.
If we close the tap with the brakes applied, it will keep the pressure on the rear brakes, even if you get out of the car. we sometimes use it as the handbrake whilst on the tow truck.
Only a few bucks from your local pirtek....

press button, apply brakes
no brakes
launch control is cause you use them to lock the brakes so you can stall it up then drop the clutch hence dont need 3 feet
so it will stop the fluid in both directions???? both applying brakes with solinoid already on (Brake stops working) and holding brakes on then turning solinoid on so brake stay on without the foot on the pedal.
