Need Diesel Tune Recomendation For The Surf

Post by Surfin Alec »

G'day all,
Anyone recomend a good diesel tune / service shop in Sydney for a 94 Surf with the IKZ-TE. I need to get the valves shimmed and the injectors replaced/serviced. Possibly the injector pump re timed / calibrated if possible as it is a electronic pump (so I'm told).
The Surf is ticking over the 200k mark without anything done previously as far as I know.

Cheers,

try berrima diesel. i know its a bit of a drive about 1hr down the M5. but it is well worth it! they know these things like the back of there hands, they just did the 80, full fuel, and injector service. including pump resetting, cost me about 800.

West End Diesel in Western Sydney somewhere had a go at my 4.2D maverick and did well. They do turbos and rebuild pumps for performance and all that stuffinc. imports, so i am sure they will be able to help you.
Norwest Diesel in Castle Hill team up with West End diesel, they may be closer to you.

Nepean Diesel out at Penrith are pretty good. Cooma Diesel are excellent but obviously it's a long way to go. Denco are also excellent but Wagga Wagga is also a long way to go.

West End (wetherill park) and norwest pretty good but no first hand experience.

I would not take it to Berrima. pm if you want to talk about why.

Last time I asked Berrima about doing the Surf, he quite coldly told me he wouldn't touch a grey import. I felt like giving him the :finger:
Probably will give West End a call.

Anyone had any other bad or good experiences with West End thats worth a mention.
