ARB Air Locker

Just recieved a 9 page fax from ARB head office with detailed requirements for measuring the diff to see it modifications can be made or a similiar already in production locker fitted. I am not skilled enough to 1) take my diff apart and measure 2) Need to drive my car so I would need a second diff. If one of you out there are more mechanical and are interested in air lockers let me no. I couild email or fax the list to you. Great opportunity if we could work something out.

May be worth while getting in contact with Diff Trans Spares in Greenacre in Sydney (should be in white/yellowpages). These guys know these diffs inside and out (welded mine and Mikes).

Sounds good Dubb. I don't have the time nor knowledge to pull mine apart though either....

I can get a breakdown pic of the factory diff parts and also the LSD, if that's any use?

Some info I've dug up in relation to this...

Diameter of differential cover 211mm

Rear axle is semi-floating type. 722mm for left wheel, 776mm for right wheel.

Rear Diff Info :

Final Reducation gear ratio : 5.285

Differential Ring Gear :
- Number of Teeth 37
- Outer diameter 185mm
- Gear type : Hypoid gear

Final reduction gear :
- Number of Teeth 7
- Outer diameter 57mm
- Gear type : Hypoid gear

Differential side gear:
- Number of Teeth 14
- Number of inner spline teeth 27

Number of differential pinion teeth : 10
Pinion shaft outer diameter : Ø18mm (that's an omega for some reason..)

Maybe this info will help?? Rear has a removable 3rd member just like a yota....possibilities??
