8274 Remote Wiring

Post by Dak »

Hiya all, can someone help out with wiring so I can run an in cab remote? I have a 8274 with the 5 pin hand controller. I already have an in cab switch to isolate the winch but need to wire up an in-out switch. None of the sites i've found so far have diagrams that work.

Cheers, Jeff.

Cheers, but neither of those two are any good. I have a late model 8274 which has sealed solenoids which are different, I just need to know which terminals on which solenoids to fed the switch to.

The 5pin wirring are set up so there is a floating earth.
When you use the controller it completes an earth to the solenoids and supplies 12V to either the 2 in or 2 out solenoids.

Run a wire from the earth side of one of the solenoids to inside cab isolator switch.Other side of swith to earth point chasis etc....

Run power via fuse to moment in/out swith.
Can't remember the colors but one side of the switch to green wire on out solenoids.Other side of switch to white wire on in solenoids.Someone can correct me on this.

The winch will not work unless your ground isolator switch is on.
The standard 5 pin connector is not changed.
