Brake Caliper problem - 96 Coily

Post by ashhash »

Hey all

Ive got a problem with the front right brake on my zook.
It seems to be sticking on and causes the disc to get very hot, burning smell etc.

Ive taken the caliper off to have a look, the piston moves but cannot be pushed back in by hand - how stiff should it be?

Also there is about 3-4mm of meat left on one pad, how much thickness should there be?

Any ideas appreciated, can the caliper be stripped and cleaned or should it just be replaced?

Cheers
Ash
