G13bb idle problems
G13bb idle problems
I've finally got around to finishing my G13bb engine conversion (into my '91 Sierra). It starts!
Now the problem is that the engine is reving too high at idle, as though the choke is always on. Anyone got any advise to offer? Is it possible that I'm missing a sensor (feed back loop)?
Cheers

i would look for vacuum leaks. is the IAC hooked up correctly? clean the plug.
But base timing is still set manually. Check all vacum lines etc, and make sure that your electrics are all good. Check coolant temp sensor incase choke is staying one due to faulty sensor reading cold start all the time.

Just wouldn't hurt to check if you can get your hands on a timing light,lay80n wrote:Spike_Sierra wrote:its efi so its all controlled by the ecu...isnt it?Pep wrote:Timing
