G13bb idle problems

I've finally got around to finishing my G13bb engine conversion (into my '91 Sierra). It starts!

Now the problem is that the engine is reving too high at idle, as though the choke is always on. Anyone got any advise to offer? Is it possible that I'm missing a sensor (feed back loop)?

Just wouldn't hurt to check if you can get your hands on a timing light,
that why mine was idling a little high,
altho mines only a carbied 13b but the theory is still the same

Thanks for the ideas.

To clarify: when the engine is rev'd, it returns to an idling speed, but immediately speeds back up to what sounds like about 2500 rpm (very approximate as there is no tacho yet).

To get the tacho working you will need to get hold of a jimny cluster and retro fit the tacho from there. The sierra tacho is different and from what I have found you will not be able to get it going of the jimny ecu.

im probable not the best at retro fitting anything, and ive got a drover dash so no tacho, is there a way to fit an aftermarket one, as normal aftermarket ones dont work, is there a special type.
