okay guru's,
ive got a GQ MWB ute, and for tuff truck next year i gotta throw it on gas, its a comp truck only so distance is not an issue,
ive read some of the bible, but i need advice,
o dont wanna run the fuel tank as it takes up the LPG tank space, what are my options, whats the best parts to use, and a rough cost, please be specific with details,
one thing i do know, is im lookin at running the falcon wagon tanks (similar to scuba tanks) is this a good idea?
thanks in advance,
Shawn

get a l series impco converter
get a impco 225 mixer, rip of the carby and fab up an adapter for an injection butterfly to replace the baseplate and then mount the mixer to that.
keep the converter real close to the mixer.
get your dizzy regraphed, change it to electronic, get a big arse coil and leads.
extractors and 2 1/4 inch free flowing exhaust.
for the tank, use whatever fits. Scuba tanks are ok, any tank that fits really. Stainless tanks look sweet when they are polished up.
make sure you run teh flexible main LPG line, dont be tempted to just run copper.

Does anyone know if the 200 series mixer is up to the task??
The conversion i am getting done at the moment is using a 200. The 225 is pysically almost double the size and wont fit without a heap of stuffing around.
He says if it wont do the job he will have to change the setup to a positive feed system?? (i may have this the wrong way around)

A speed camera would have prevented that!

Regraphing the dizzy would still need to be done to make full use of a correct advance curve for a LPG engine. You donot "have" to get it done,( like petronic electronic ignition) but it will perform better if you do.
