Picked up my turbo manifold today.

OK ppl i picked up my turbo manifold (extractor type) for my TB42 today and have 2 questions.

1) Do people use any kind of heat coating spray or wrap on their manifolds? I was thinking this may help keeep underbonnet temps down a bit. If so how much $$$$

2) Should i just use the standard TB42 exhaust manifold gasket? I have heard of people using Genuine diesel exhaust gaskets

wrap is well known for cracking headers.... ceramic is the way to go, even though this also cracks the headers sometimes..... removable heat sheilds also work a bit.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

If the problem is maybe melting other things in the engine bay i would suggest making some heat shields and stuff.
Also have you got a pic of the manifold by any chance?

it absorbs the water. and yeah keeping cold water on hot manifold = warp or crack.
it also rots due to the moisture and then rusts/rots to the manifold

Yeah i got a pic but dont know how to post. Can email if anyone wants.

After fixing my heating problems i may just make up a heat shield...unless anyone has any other ideas.
