Hi,
I've got a '97 Sierra and it seems that the top dashboard mounts have broken off and need to be welded back on.
I'm trying to get the dash off so that it's easier to access, but I can't work out where I'm going wrong. I've got all the visible screws, the ones under the glove box and the ones on each end. What next?
Is there an online workshop manual that would show me how to take it all apart?
Is this a common problem with Sierras?
I did a search but didn't come up with anything relevant to the newer type dashboards in the coily Sierras.
Ta!

'97 Sierra dashboard mount failure
I had a bit of a poke around on the weekend. I thought there were only two mounts, left and right, but I found there is a centre mount as well that has worked its way off the body. They seem pretty fragile!
I was wondering why the whole dash looked like it had dropped 1/2 an inch!
I've ziptied it all up until I have access to a welder. Ta for the help.
