ITS BLOODY CRIMINAL

Post by BundyRumandCoke »

So this afternoon, around 3.30, I find I need a new uni for the rear tailshaft. Heading down to one of the local spare parts places, I have the usual arguement about part numbers (the listing in most books is incorrect), finally to be told he had none, and there would be none available in town.
Not deterred, I head for the local multi make dealer, who is the Daihatsu dealer, sometimes genuine prices can be surprising. I rock into spare parts, to be told that they are no longer the Daihatsu dealer, havent been for about 2 weeks. Speaking to the Daihatsu spares bloke, who I think had his termination letter in his hand, he told me there was some kind of falling out between the dealership and Daihatsu, and they had dropped them. I asked, out of curiosity, what had happened to all the parts they had in stock.
I was told they had taken about $20 000 worth of Daihatsu parts to the tip, and dumped them.       Dumbstruck, I asked if they had any manuals left from the workshop. I managed to aquire a parts reference manual for the earlier Scats, but nothing for my Rocky.
Thinking the recycling man at the tip had a Daihatsu parts bonanza on his hands, I made a bee line for the tip. The revenue collection guy I spoke to told me that 2 weeks ago, 2 ute and trailer loads of new parts had been brought out there, and 4 guys had spent about 2 hrs unloading, and in the process, smashing, breaking, hammering, trampling, and destroying everything. Panels, radiators, parts, everything was destroyed, and then loaded into the skip to head for tha landfill.
I couldnt believe it. Needless to say, if ever I scrape the money together for a new car, I wont be going to that particular dealership.
As I say, ITS BLOODY CRIMINAL. :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words: :x :bad-words:

They obviously haven't heard of this ineramanet thingy otherwise they would have sold all them parts for good $$$ AND saved the wasted labour involved in carting all the stuff to the tip.
