I have a 92 GQ Patrol Wagon, with a 4.2ltr Diesel Auto, it has a Motson's Aftermarket Turbo. Other than that, it is totally standard. I am looking for more power/torque and would like some suggestions. Snorkel? Exhuast? can you increase the boost on the turbo?
This is my first turbo Diesel after several naturally asperated 6cyl diesels and quite frankly I am disappointed....
What can be done with out spending heaps of money?

snorkel will do shit
exhaust should already be a 3inch sytem.
Have you had it tuned?
have you done anything with it yet?
injectors cleaned?
Fuel pump inspected?
filters?
dyno'ed?
how much boost is it running now . motsons use a garratt T3 on their conversions and depending on what stage kit you have a 3 inch exhaust, if it doesnt have this then a 3 inch system will help. if you wind up the boost you will have keep an eye on your egt you may also need to have your fuel adjusted as well. the motson stage 3 kits normally go really well.

High flow turbo
3" mandrel bent exhaust
I ran 20psi on mine for over 2 years including 6 comps. Only took it out as I'm going for a lot more power and a lot less wieght. I can assume you if it is running properly you won't be dissapointed. The power potenial is huge if tuned correctly. And it won't cost much as it is pretty siple to do.

Once you've sorted the boost, exhaust and tune. If you're still not happy you can also do a diesel gas system. The inlaw's 80 series went from approximately 70kw NA to 100+ kw turboed, to 130+ kw with diesel gas. All at the rear wheels, and the torque is incredible.
As for mine, the 3" exhaust system made it a completely different thing to drive than when it had a 2.5" system. So much more power! I was amazed that an exhaust system could make that much difference.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.

I have no idea how much boost, there is no 3" Exhaust either, not sure why the conversion appears only half done! Should I go back to Motson?

Are you sure it was a Motsons conversion, not some backyard job with some bits he bought off ebay??
I would take it to someone, probably Motsons and see what they say, but its going to be expensive for u.
Have a boost and EgT gauge fitted while your there.

its all about $$$
my Dynamics turbo kit on the old LWB was the same, 3" to the first flange, standard after that. it keeps the turbo conversion cost down.
some people dont get around to fitting the rest of the pipe because they are happy with the performance increase already.

My truck does have a Motson's conversion plate on it. I might do the exhaust first, then look at the rest. More Boost? How is that achieved and "tuning it" What is tuneable on it?

Exhaust will make a difference.
but IMHO, with the way your asking questions, its not as simple as just winding up the boost... theres an art to not melting pistons with overfuelling.
Do it right do it once, take it to someone who knows turbos, and fuel pumps.

Great advice and I will follow that. I will do the 3" straight through exhaust then look at getting someone in Brizzo to do the Waste gate and fuel pump mods..
I ran the exhuast out in front of the left rear wheel and had a very small resonator to keep things a little discreet. The best things you could shoot a great wack on black smoke in the window of all the boy racers at traffic lights! Not very PC but plenty of fun!
