heater hoses into firewall

Post by corkhead »

gday guys !

my heater core is leaking and cant be f'd replacing it just yet - quick question, if i block the two heater hoses going into the firewall - will this effect the cooling system at all (ie the water flow) ?

will change another day when the sky isnt full of smoke !

cheers

Coolant only flows through that loop when the tap is open - with the tap closed, it's effectively a "dead loop."

If you can, disconnect both hoses from the engine, and put a loop across the two connections. It doesn't matter if it kinks, because it doesn't need to flow.
